Welcome. I’m Kelly McCorkle Parkison, and I’m running for City Council.

I’m running as:

A neighbor

A mom of six

A pastors wife

A Classical Conversations homeschool community director

A nonprofit founder and Executive Director of LOFT 218

My campaign is rooted in three words:

Faith. Family. Community.

Faith because it guides my decisions — it shapes how I lead, how I treat people, and how I approach service with humility and integrity.

Family because decisions made affect their future — every policy, every vote, every choice impacts the homes, children, parents, seniors, and future generations who live here.

Community because serving people matters — strong neighborhoods are built through connection, kindness, and collaboration.

I’m in this race to listen and hear, to show up, and to work alongside you. I believe solutions start at kitchen tables, in coffee shops, on ballfields, and across front porches where real life happens. Leadership should begin there, too.

I want to continue to build a city where:

• Families feel supported and heard
• Local businesses are valued and able to thrive
• Decisions are transparent, honest, and community-focused
• Faith defines the character that shapes how we lead and how we treat one another

This campaign belongs to my neighbors, to everyday people who love this city and believe in its future. If you want leadership that serves … if you want a councilwoman that listens, cares, and works with heart …

Then I invite you to join me.

Because I am a neighbor, not a politician.
And together, we can strengthen faith, support families, and continue to build a community we’re proud to call home.
